Very dark gold in color, with rich aromas of sandalwood, mineral, flowers and citrus peel. Full-bodied and sweet, with lots of vanilla-coated ripe fruit, syrup and spice character and a slightly velvety texture from the oak. Well-structured and refined, with a long, long finish, leaving traces of vanilla and fresh lemon. Wine Spectator The 2004 Acininobili is a berry by berry selection of botrytised Vespaiola that is aged in new French oak. This layered, opulent sweet wine reveals tons of sweet, candied fruit, flowers, spices and toasted oak. This awesome, thrilling wine needs a few years in bottle to incorporate its oak, but the wine's potential is amply evident today. Robert Parker
